I'm a student at the University of Michigan studying business with a minor in writing. In this portfolio, you will see the works I've done throughout my writing career.

Thinking back about how I stumbled upon the minor in writing, I recall seeing a poster about this minor and then that thought slowly creeped into my head mainly because I took an enjoyable English class during freshman year. I think I also wanted an escape from my business classes and this was a way to do it.

For me, writing is about telling stories. Either stories of my own or stories of others. Usually, I write the things I can't say out loud because they are either "too personal" or I don't think anyone wants to hear them. I think I have a different viewpoint on life based on my experiences, so I want to share them with people. In order to tell my own stories and other people's stories, the pieces you see here required a lot of reflection and honesty. It took time. Time to reflect, time to reread, time to make sure I was ready to talk about these things, and time to discover myself. I hope you take the same time to go through my works and while entering my mind, I hope it makes you think about yours.
