I always hear people say that they hate writing essays. It's probably because there isn't a formula when it comes to writing and it pushes you be creative. A six page essay can seem daunting when all that stares back at you is a blank word document and the writing prompt. I can't say that I don't feel the same thing, but when I have to write that's not the first feeling that comes to mind. I feel that this essay is a chance for me to grow as a writer by either trying a new form or perfecting what I am used to. Along with growth as a writer, I like writing because I'm able to communicate my thoughts in a different medium and it allows me to escape my world.

 

Writing has been present in my college career so far, and I've written in different styles due to the different expectations and of the class and discipline.
